April Program – Fun Raiser

Be sure to come to our April 17 meeting for an extravaganza of goods and services, both auctioned and raffled, from and for our members and guests.

We will have 3 ‘sales’ going on:

  • Our Equipment Chair will auction off several pieces of equipment, including spinning wheels and a loom. Proceeds go to maintenance and purchase of Guild equipment.
  • Our members will be offering a choice array of fun things to do and eat and collect in silent auction. Proceeds go to CHT (Contemporary Handweavers of Texas) for their upcoming 2009 Conference expenses.
  • Even more will be available in Chinese lottery form — that is, you are allotted 3 or 4 free raffle tickets and you ‘spend’ them on whichever lottery items you crave.

Imagine all kinds of goodies, from homemade cheesecake to a custom felted cowboy hat; classes in basketry, gourds, beads, dyes; a personal museum tour, special yarns, custom carded spinning fibers, weaving tools.

If you have a brilliant idea for something to donate just email D’Anne Craft (craftd@swbell.net) and Connie Elliott (elliott3@pdq.net) and we will work with you on it. Time is clipping along, so act now if you want to add anything to this super auction and raffle.
