Been caught by the train on Commerce Street?
Sometimes it seems like the train is on the same schedule as guild activities. There are a couple of tunnels to help you navigate around it, if you see the train in time. Coming to the Guild House it depends on how you come. If you are coming from I10 to I59 heading south you exit Hamilton and turn left on Franklin, look ahead if you see the train veer left and go under the train. Turn right on Canal, right on Colby and right on Commerce. If you’re coming to the Guild House from the south, you’re not going to be able to see the train ahead of time to miss it if you go all the way to Commerce. So if you don’t want to take the chance of getting caught, turn right on Franklin (1 street before Commerce), and follow the above directions.
When it’s time to go home as you exit the Guild House parking lot look right, see a train? If you’re going north, turn left on Commerce, left on Colby (first street after GH), left on Canal. Veer left and zip under the train, basically make a big square around our block. If you’re going south, turn left on Commerce, right on Delano, and right on Harrisburg going under the train, which turns into Texas. Then turn left on Dowling or St. Emanuel to head south.
