Wow!

The Pikes Peak Weavers Guild partnered with the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum on a project to research, photograph, document, and analyze the history, weave structure, fiber composition, and artisan techniques of 42 coverlets in the Museum collection. At the end of three years of planning and hard work, the project culminated in a joint exhibit at the Pioneers Museum with several of the historic coverlets shown along side modern interpretations woven by members of PPWG.

PPWG has created an Online Gallery that houses the photographs and documentation for each coverlet as well as a gallery of the Modern Interpretations woven by the guild members.

Read an article about the project in this issue of the PPWG Journal. This is an amazing project. Visit these sites when you have time to stay a while.
