Volunteer Opportunity
East End Cultural District

It seems as soon as we moved into our new space, lots of neighborhood volunteer opportunities have started coming our way. Well, I think that’s why we moved here; to be part of things that are going on.

Sunday, May 17th, from 11am – 3 pm, is going to be the first East End Cultural District Open House. It will coincide with Sunday Streets when Navigation will be turned into car free, pedestrian and bicycle walkway with all kinds of events.

CHH has agreed to participate and we plan on doing demonstrations and some hands on activities. We’ll need a few volunteers to help make this a success. Weaving and spinning demonstrators are needed and, because we are in our own facility, some felting can be going on. We will have our cardboard looms available as well as a warped Cricket. If we have a felting person or two, they might be persuaded to have a hands on also. Even if you would just like to sit with us, you can bring your projects along.

Please let me know soon if you can join us for this activity. May 17th isn’t very far away.
