Mary W. asks: “Any ideas?”

The yarn is new and it is 100% cotton. You can see from the photo that it is kinky! I used my yarn balance and I figured it is about 4500 yards per pound. I think it is two-ply but I can’t separate it. It comes in bundles of 5 skeins and the colors are: black, white, ivory, green, olive green, teal/aqua, light purple, dark purple, blue, dark red, bright red, light pink, dark pink, beige, light grey, dark grey, blue-grey, light yellow, ochre/mustard yellow, and bright yellow. The single skein I have weighs about 3 ounces.

The women have woven with it but it does not give the hand that they like. They are looking for ideas of how to improve it before or after weaving or other ways to use it. They are also willing to sell it for $2.00 a skein or to make a deal on a larger amount. Since CC is a nonprofit, they want to keep their losses to a minimum. If you have any ideas, please contact Mary at weavehouston@gmail.com or Katelin Cherry at Katelin@ogvillage.org. Our Global Village is the parent company for Community Cloth.
