Each year
members of Contemporary Handweavers of Houston and other
area guilds provide approximately 500 hours of volunteer work demonstrating
weaving and spinning (and a variety of interlacements such
as knitting, crocheting and kumihimo) to the thousands of
visitors to Agventure at the Houston Livestock Show and
Rodeo.
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo 2008 is over! CHH weavers, spinner, and other fiber enthusiasts were available on weekdays from 10-2, on Saturdays from 10-5 and on Sundays from 11-5 near "Goat Mountain".
Tilly Marchwinski was interviewed at the 2008 Livestock Show and Rodeo: Go to this Rodeo News Network Link and pick the program for March 20th – about halfway through that day's video program is the section about Tilly. They show some of our other weavers and spinners too!
