CHH 24th Annual Sale – WEAVING & BEYOND – AUGUST 21 – 23, 2008

The sale is earlier this year and will be held again at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft at 4848 Main Street in the museum district. Please mark your calendars for Thursday, August 21st through Saturday, August 23rd.

The Sale Committee has received entries from 41 members. If you haven’t sent in your entry, please call or email Clarice Shanks about late entry policy. Blank forms and sets of sale rules may be downloaded and printed from your online copy of CHitCHat or from the guild website.

Those without computer access may get blank entry forms from Upstairs Studio or the Lone Star Loom Room. For that matter, don’t be afraid to ask a fellow guild member who does have a computer to print an extra one for you! Get your forms completed and mailed as soon as possible to the Sale Chair: Clarice Shanks @ 202 S. 3rd Street, La Porte TX 77571. Entry deadline is August 1st, 2008.

The invitations were mailed on July 31st. We used the same lovely postcard design from last year with appropriate date changes. Since CHH will not have a regularly scheduled meeting before the sale, you may pick up Invitations at Lone Star Loom Room, Upstairs Studio and HCCC to distribute to friends, neighbors and your own mailing list of prospective shoppers. A downloadable form of the invitation is also on the website (PDF) and in the newsletter: CHitCHat. Note: The time on the invitation for Friday should show 10am to 5pm instead of 11-7.

We also need volunteers to assist with the sale. Use the designated areas on the entry form to indicate which jobs you’re most interested in and the times you can volunteer. If you have any questions, please contact:
