Sale Information Update

Contemporary Handweavers of Houston’s 24th Annual Sale is earlier this year. Holding the sale at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft was so successful, the opportunity to have it there again this year was welcomed. That’s why the 2008 sale date is earlier than most of you are accustomed to. Please mark your calendars for Thursday, August 21st through Saturday, August 23rd.

The Sale Committee is ready now to receive your entry forms. If you didn’t pick up a blank form and set of sale rules at the CHH meeting recently, you may download and print them either from your online copy of ChitCHat or from the Guild Website: http://weavehouston.org/sale.html.

Those without computer access may get blank entry forms from Upstairs Studio, Lone Star Loom Room or the May 15th CHH meeting. For that matter, don’t be afraid to ask a fellow guild member who does have a computer to print an extra one for you! Get your forms completed and mailed as soon as possible to the Sale Chair: Clarice Shanks @ 202 S. 3rd Street, La Porte TX 77571. Entry deadline is August 1st, 2008.

Don’t forget how important volunteering to assist with the sale is. As you complete the form, please use the designated areas to indicate which jobs you’re most interested in and the times you can volunteer AND you don’t have to be a have items to sell to work at the sale either! We need lots of help to have a great sale. Please, just use the entry form to let us know how and when you can help. Having the completed forms makes it easier for the Sale Committee to organize and schedule our volunteers.
