Hooks-Epstein Galleries is proud to present “Ties That Bind,” an exhibition of woven paintings by textile artist, Lauren Salazar. The exhibition opens at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 7, 2018, with a reception for the artist from 6:00-8:00PM. The exhibition will continue through Saturday, May 12, 2018. “In her weaving, Lauren Salazar is able to connect and explore within the layered cultural heritage of the medium, while also indulging in the abstract language of painting. She invites viewers’ associations with weaving, such as domesticity, tradition, femininity, and craft.
