The Houston Bead Society Annual Bead and Jewelry Show is coming up in November to be held at the HESS Club in the Houston Galleria area. This is a 3 day event from Nov 11th to Nov 13th, 2011. Besides exciting shopping opportunities with a selected group of vendors from around the country we are excited to announced that the nationally renounced artist Mary Hettmansperger will be teaching three classes at this event. The classes are 1) Stacked and Stitched, 2) Torch Fire Enameling and Dimensional Connections, and 3) Looped Jewelry.
The Looped Jewelry class is especially of interest to fiber artists and weavers. This class teaches an easy finger weaved net fabric using metal wires and a similar technique using waxed linen. Mary will demonstrate how to use these techniques to make artistic jewelry size pouches to hold your special objects. Come join us for a fun filled weekend, exercise your creativity and be inspired!
