New Class – Inkle Weaving
with Deb Harrison

Inkle - Deb

1 day – Saturday September 10th
10 am – 5 pm

The term “inkle” means ribbon or tape and probably refers to a similarly structured woven band that could have been made on different types of looms. The production of beautiful, decorative bands has become a popular form of weaving today because it is compact and portable. The bands are warp-faced, highly patterned, and used for trims, straps, and belts. They can also be sewn together to form wider fabrics. Students will learn the basics of designing, threading, and weaving on a simple and portable inkle loom. Looms will be available or students may bring their own loom.

Fee = $85.00
ALL Materials and an extensive handout with a actual inkle sample are included in class price.
