Fourth Annual Texas Star Workshop with Jason Collingwood
Join us in wonderful, historic Fredericksburg, Texas – Arrival on Monday afternoon after 3:00 PM – 5/20/13 – set up looms, Jason will teach, beginning at 9 AM, Tuesday 5/21 through Friday 24/2013. Our study, this year will focus on TAQUETE – 4 shaft. At the close of the workshop, Jason teaches his rug finishing techniques.

The Inn is 1.5 block walking distance to Main Street – wonderful restaurants and shopping. We have a special rate of $85/night. The special rate is only Monday through Thursday nights. When calling for reservations, be sure to mention Texas Star Workshop. Continental breakfast, coffee and soft drinks 24/7. Small refrigerators and microwaves in each room, swimming pool. The workshop is in the Barons Creek Conference Center, adjacent to the hotel parking lot. This is a beautiful facility with plenty of room for the workshop…tables for Jason to instruct … another area for snacks/meals/visiting. We also have use of a full kitchen.
Cost: $350 – deposits of $175 due at time of registration – balance due at time Jason purchases his airline tickets.
He will be coming from Europe so his ticketing will be at the end of February. Class size limited. We have the conference center available to us on Monday. Everyone will bring their looms dressed. We will be there to help “tweak” so that on day one, we are all on the same page.
Everyone is welcome to bring weaving related items for sale. This will be an honor system as I am asking 15% from the sale. This money will go towards a scholarship for 2014. Enough funds were generated in 2012 to provide two scholarships, nearly half the cost.
