What a special weekend we had at our CHH Kasuri Ikat workshop—it was both fun-filled and educational! We resist-tied and hand-dyed our skeins and created some beautiful handwoven Kasuri Ikat patterns. Just look at some of these wonderful Kasuri motif samples created by the following CHH members:
- Louise B.
- Marian C.
- Alyce C.
- Connie E.
- Tracy K.
- Joan L.
- Penny N.
- Sharla T.
- Gretchen W.
- Dottie W.
- DeeDee W.
- Gerry W.
In addition to Kasuri Ikat techniques, Beth Ross Johnson, our workshop instructor, taught us Sakiori handweaving with silk kimono scraps and Japanese warping techniques.
Friday night dinner was held at Chuy’s and Tracy served as a gracious host for our potluck dinner on Saturday night—there were plenty of laughs and some great take-away memories too!
A heartfelt thank you to all of our wonderful CHH workshop attendees!
