CHH’s 60th Anniversary juried exhibition, Material Matrix will be open to the public beginning October 14, 2010 at M-Squared Gallery, 339 West 19th Street, Houston, Texas. This exhibit was conceived as a way to celebrate CHH’s 60-year history and to promote the energetic and growing community of Texas fiber artists.
Jurors Ann Matlock and Pat Spark, both well-known and internationally recognized artists, selected over 50 items for the exhibition, including functional handwoven pieces, tapestries, wall hangings, 3D works in felt, beadweaving, and basketry. The opening reception and awards presentation will be at the gallery on Thursday, October 21, from 7-9 p.m. Please plan to come and help us celebrate!!
