Guest Post from Mary Welch:

Krista Tippett has a program called “On Being” on NPR. It airs in Houston on KUHF 88.7 Sunday morning at 6 AM but, of course can be heard online. I have listened to her for years. This coming Sunday morning she is going to talk with fiber artist Renate Hiller who is the former co-director of Fiber Craft Studio at Threefold Educational Center in Chestnut Ridge, NY. There is a 4 min. video of her on the current On Being” website. She talks about spinning and the importance of handwork. The same YouTube video by Chuck Smith and Sono Kuwayamai is on the fibercraftstudio.org website. [Webweaver’s Note: Video below on this post.] I think what she has to say would be of interest to our web readers and maybe they will follow up by listening to the Krista’s interview next Sunday morning or visit the “On Being” website after the interview to read about it. A transcript will also be available.
