Sky Loom Weavers ROC Day

Sky Loom Weavers ROC Day!
Sunday Jan 10 from noon till 4 pm.

We will have the dye pots going so if you have anything you want to dye (yarn or fiber) please bring it along. We will do an indigo pot too if there is enough interest. Just let me know if you are interested. Indigo is a substantive dye – no mordant necessary and it will dye just about anything including wool, cotton, silk, etc.

Bring your wheel or drop spindle and join in the fun. Or just come and watch. That’s fine too. We have a bunch of fiber available if you want to try out something you haven’t spun before. And anyone can take a spin on any of my wheels if I have a wheel you haven’t tried before.

We’ll have coffee and tea and cold drinks. Please bring a snack to share.

Directions to Sky Loom Weavers: Come west on I10 past Katy, Brookshire and Sealy. Take the exit to FM949. Turn right (north) onto 949 and continue for several miles. Sorry, I keep intending to measure how far it is but haven’t yet. Slow down when you see the Bernardo sign. Turn left onto New Ulm Road at the Bernardo Farm & Ranch store. Sky Loom is on the left about 1/2 mile from the store. It’s a yellow house with a red roof and a black gate. The gate will be open. Drive past the house and barn and park near the studio. If we haven’t had a ton of rain, you can park anywhere.

Call if you get lost or need any additional information – 979-733-8120.
