Swatch Swap 2015 Report

by | May 20, 2015

From D’Anne:

The CHH 2015 Swatch Swap participants met on May 17th to share their swatches based on the theme “Literary Threads”. The open interpretation of this theme gave the weavers an opportunity to be very creative, and their choices ranged from the classics to mysteries to novels to blue and red lined writing paper from early elementary grades. Below are some photos of the finished products.

This is a photo of all the swatches shared at the Swatch Swap.

Connie remembered her school days of writing on red and blue lined paper, so she wove her own paper and used her very best handwriting to write famous literary quotes.

The swappers voted on 2016’s topic which will be “10/2 Cotton”. Although the group searched for a more exciting name, nothing came to mind, so if anyone has an idea for a title for next year’s swap, please share it. The cost to join the swap remains $7, and CHH members can sign up at any meeting or by contacting Marian Carlson who has volunteered to coordinate the 2016 swap.
