Two new projects completed!

Paula completed her first weaving on the square Hockett Loom and mounted it. See the photo below of the black and red piece on white background, framed in black.

Gloria completed a tapestry woven bracelet with bead trim. The weaving is attached to a lining and sewn onto a copper cuff. See Photos below:

Cathie completed her flower tapestry and finished the edges. We’ll photograph it next time.

Barb B. completed her little tapestry using handwoven scraps from the Livestock Show demos. We’ll photograph it next meeting.

Linda has progressed with her sampler on her Glimakra frame loom, and Paula likes that loom so much that she has purchased one from the Woolery.

We now have $90 in the wish box toward the purchase of the Sylvia Heyden video. The video is $89 + 5 shipping. I’ll go ahead and order it. [This is a short sample of the Hayden video.]

We discussed things we might do for a program to present to the CHH Guild February meeting. We might play the Heyden video, have some looms set up for folks to have a hands-on experience with tapestry weaving, etc.

Next meeting Blaine will bring his mat cutter and we can cut mats to frame our tapestries. So, bring some mat board of your liking and dimensions you need to mount/frame a finished piece! See you then! Sunday, Aug. 18, 2:00 pm at Guild House. See you then!
