What Did I Get Myself into Now?
Earlier this year Blaine applied for a residency at the Icelandic Textile Institute not really thinking they would accept him. “I said I wanted to spend a month weaving tapestry and sent them some pictures of my work. A short time later I got an acceptance letter. Spending the month of September in a small village in northern Iceland, if nothing else, sounded cooler than the same month in Houston, so off I went. Come and see my photographs, I’ll talk about what it was like and show you some of the work I did on my month near the Arctic Circle.”
Meeting on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at the Guild House, at 10 am.
