CHH and Gandhi’s Legacy

Connie C. Elliot and other spinning, weaving, and dyeing experts from the Contemporary Handweavers of Houston will demonstrate spinning for khadi cloth, a form of work championed by Gandhi to promote economic self-reliance during the Indian independence movement.

  1. The demonstrations run from 12pm to 3pm on those days. But plan to spend plenty of time to go through the extensive exhibit, too.
