Houston Livestock and Rodeo

by | Feb 10, 2022

CHH used to have a booth at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for decades.  Here’s an opportunity to relive the fun of demonstrating to the public with a barnyard ambiance.  The kids love to see how fleece becomes yarn and how yarn is woven into cloth.

Rancho Inca Alpacas is owned and operated by business partners Bill Beranek and Mario Garcia. Their ranch is located in the hills of White Hall, Texas, just outside Navasota between Houston and Bryan/College Station.

Bill Beranck at Rancho Inca Alpacas would like to have a weaving/spinning demo at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo during the alpaca show March 17-20, 2022. Email at ranchoinca@yahoo.com, 936-870-3988. The set-up could be either Thursday or Friday with demos on Friday and Saturday. Usually the show closes at noon on Sunday so a take-down on Saturday afternoon would be possible. It’s a fun two days in the horse arena barn so it is much less crowded than our old space in the convention center. Sheila indicated that she would like to do it again but needs some relief.

Contact Bill or Marion S for more details.
