Eco-Printing Next Steps

Take your eco-prints to the next level by adding color with natural dyes and "blankets". Color can be added to the entire background of a print or only in specific areas. This process can also be utilized with leaves that don't create prints to achieve a silhouette of the leaf with a colorful background.

Participants must have taken eco-printing before or be familiar with the process. This class will not cover mordanting or basic eco-printing techniques.

$35 materials fee due to the instructor the day of class. Materials fee includes natural dyes, "blankets", 1 yard raw silk and 1 crepe de chine scarf, dowels, string, leaves, and mordants. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own materials to print; all materials brought from home must be mordanted BEFORE class.
