Woven Vessel
Woven Vessel is started on a 6” wooden base and students will learn how to insert spokes into that base to start the basket. Spokes are dyed reed and weavers are natural reed, showing subtle color when the basket is finished. Sides of the basket will taper in slightly. A lashed rim finishes the basket. Students should bring a bucket and an old towel.
This finished basket is approximately 6″ diameter x 10″ tall.
Materials Fee – $20 should be paid by cash or check at the class, payable to Mary Brown. Students need to bring a bucket and towel.
Time – 10:00 am – 3:00 pm (could run over)
