Joan Baxter has been a professional tapestry weaver for more than 35 years. She was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland and studied tapestry at Edinburgh College of Art and Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, Poland during the 1970s. Following her studies, she worked for eight years in commercial tapestry studios in England and Australia, as part of a team weaving tapestries from designs by such artists as Henry Moore, John Piper and Howard Hodgkin. She has been an independent artist weaver since 1987. She lives and works on her 7 acre nature reserve in the Highlands of Scotland surrounded by the landscapes that inspire her tapestries.

We are still finalizing exact workshop content details and the supply list. This workshop is suitable to all skill levels EXCEPT complete beginners. There may be a small supply fee for this workshop.
